This action research project examined what effect Step 1 Earobics had on early emergent reading skills, which are outlined in the findings from the National Reading Panel, on two primary-aged children with language-based reading disabilities for 10 weeks during the summer of 2008. To measure phonemic awareness, phonics, and word recognition skills, the Dynamic Indicators of Basic Literacy Skills 6th edition and the San Diego Quick Reading Assessment were used as assessments in this study. Descriptive statistics were used to compare pre- and postassessments.
