The reliability and quality assurance of chemical and physico-chemical data is under debate at least since one decade in such important fields as engineering and international trade. Important national and international institutions have been set up and are working on a more or less continuous basis as well as in science and technology, international trade and in the field of politics and diplomacy. Of most importance for future generations is, among others, the reliability and uncertainty of chemical, physico-chemical and physical data related for example to reactive transport modeling, geo-chemical modeling, hydrogeological modeling and modeling of nuclear waste disposals. This book focuses on the reliability, uncertainty, and general acceptance of data related to the above mentioned issues. In addition, it clearly states the present deficits of the existing databases and clearly defines the requirements for the future.A possible write-protection should be removed.
